Another Anniversary Card

This is the 2nd card I've made for our 30th Anniversary. I think this is the card I will be giving to my husband. It has very neutral colors in it and even though it has the hearts on it I think it will work, after all I don't think we would be married for 30 years if he didn't have a good heart! He is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Very supportive, kind and generous and he "worships the quicksand I walk on" what more could you ask for!

Supplies Used: Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, SU Delicate Dots DSP; Ink: White Craft, Basic Brown; Stamps: Polka Dot Punches, Hugs and Wishes; Other: Full Heart Punch, Horizontal Slot Punch, Photo Corners Punch, So Saffron Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

30th Anniversary Card

My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary soon and so I created a couple of cards. This is the first card I created using the "Season of Friendship" stamp set and the smallest heart from the "heart to heart" punch. I've had this background paper for quite some time now and thought it would be perfect for what I had in mind for the card. There are actually 30 hearts punched out and put on the tree. The small heart charm I picked up from Michael's.

Supplies Used: Paper: Whisper White, Going Gray, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Orchid Opulence and Background Paper (unknown); Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Certainly Celery and Kiwi Kiss; Stamps: Season of Friendship; Other: Heart to Heart Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Heart Charm (Michael's)

Cheep Talk Chipboard

I made this card for one of my friends at work. She is a very outgoing person and loves to talk with everyone. This little bird reminds me of her and how she flits from person to person and desk to desk everyday. She still manages to get her work done and could probably do more if she wasn't such a "social butterfly". I inked the chipboard bird with craft ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. The clear rhinestone eye was the perfect touch.

Supplies Used: Paper: Whisper White, Pacific Point, Summer Sun, Old Olive, SU Good Morning Sunshine DSP; Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive; Craft Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Not Quite Navy, Only Orange; Stamps: Cheep Talk, Bitty Birthday; Other: Scallop Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Photo Corners Punch, Mat Pack, Rhinestone Brad, Certainly Celery Poly-twil Ribbon, Clear Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Another Butterfly

Here is another card using the butterfly from the set "Great Friends". This is a simple card but the colors are very calming and it makes you feel happy to see it. I think the when most people see this color of yellow it makes them feel happy. If it were a bright yellow like "yoyo yellow" it would give a totally different feel to the card. The So Saffron is a nice calm yellow but not so pale that you think it might be vanilla.

Supplies Used: Paper: Whisper White, So Saffron, SU Parisian Breeze DSP; Ink: So Saffron; Stamps: Great Friend; Other: Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Pearls, Sakura Stardust Glitter Pen, So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals

Serene Butterfly

A simple and basic card that has a very "back to nature" sense to it. The colors are so calm and soothing. I love the butterfly in the stamp set "Great Friend". I wasn't going to purchase this set because I didn't think I would get much use out of it and it has now become a set I reach for often.

Supplies Used: Paper: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Baja Breeze, SU Urban Garden DSP; Ink: Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Gray; Stamps: Great Friend; Other: Small Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, Trio Flower Punch, Rhinestones, Sakura Stardust Glitter Pen, White Organza Ribbon, Dimensionals

Simple Mother's Day Card

I needed to create a Mother's Day card for my daughter-in-law and I thought I would use her favorite color....purple. This is a very simple card and I think the Cuttlebug folder matched the stamped flower really well. I wanted to watercolor the image but couldn't find my watercolor paper. I know that I have some and after searching for it for half an hour I decided to just work with what I had. I think this would have looked much nicer on the watercolor paper. Oh well, next time.

Supplies Used: Paper: Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Almost Amethyst; Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Almost Amehtyst, Old Olive; Stamps: More Petal Prints; Other: Cuttlebug Floral Screen Embossing Folder, Large Oval Punch, Oval Scallop Punch, Ribbon
